Our November Artist of the Month, Annette Coleman explores her dream world through her multi-media canvases. Her one-of-a-kind pieces are visually and mentally engaging from first glance. She mines the fragments of her nightly dreams to create layered works of art. Bringing seemingly disparate archetypes and symbols together with wax and pigments, she creates richly imagined landscapes of the unconscious. Her latest body of work “The Collective Dream” employ heat sensitive film on a heated canvas to segue dreams to art.

Peg Harper & Dennis Mueller

Our Artists of the Month for September are Peg Harper & Dennis Mueller. Peg is a fabulous polymer clay artist who teaches this great medium at our store. She has created an amazing array of beautiful Icons from polymer clay that she is sharing with us and you! Dennis creates beauty with oil paints. His favored subject, landscapes, is quite evident in the many stunning paintings he has graced our walls at the store with.

Cold connections make it possible to attach pieces of metal together without the use of soldering or investing in a torch. Gail will be doing an ongoing demo from 1pm to 3pm and will be showcasing cold connection riveting (used in the image above). There will be time for people to try their hand at this fun technique! This demonstration should be quite “riveting”!!
