This great class will quickly bring you up to speed on the fabulous technique of Bead Embroidery. You will learn how to lay out the design, glue cabochons and metal flowers to ultra suede, bead embroider various size beads around the cabochons and flower to enhance the design, attach all to a 1 1/4 inch hammered cuff and apply finishing techniques. You can bring your own beads and components if you wish, but we will be sticking to the basic pattern in the photograph. Instructor will supply tools needed for class, but you may bring your own needles, scissors, etc.

All materials are included in this class: metal flower, stones, beads, suede, 1
1/4 inch hammered cuff and tools.

This introductory class will quickly bring you up to speed on the fabulous technique of Bead Crochet. You will learn how to choose beads and other materials, such as thread, for your projects. Various stringing patterns from simple to complex will be discussed and you will try your hand at stringing a simple stripe pattern. You will learn Bead Crochet method and practice a bit before beginning your bracelet. You will learn tips and techniques for bead management, dealing with mistakes in a pattern, adding a new thread, attaching end caps, focal beads and clasps and other finishing ideas. Students may be able to finish the bracelet in class, but if they do not, they will at least have finished one end of the bracelet with bead cap and focal bead so that they can finish at home. Instructor will be available the week after class for those requiring coaching or have gotten stuck and need some help. Instructor will supply tools needed for class, but students need to supply materials listed below.

Materials Needed For Class:

Size 6/0 seed bead (2 packages - different colors), One large focal bead (15mm or larger), two 14mm end caps, Two eye pins (20Ga), one clasp.

Upcoming Classes

In this 5 hour workshop you will explore beginning Bead Weaving techniques, starting with a basic five rows and moving up to seven rows, to make the three different sized Comanche style earrings as pictured. All materials are included in this class, but you may bring your own beads if you wish. You may make as many pairs of these earrings as you wish in the five hour time frame. These beautiful earrings are great to wear at the Holiday parties or to give as treasured gifts!

Class is Beginner Level. Class runs 5 hours long with a break for lunch and afternoon stretch.

Class size is limited to 10 people. A 50% deposit is due at time of registration, with the balance due day of class.

In this 5 hour workshop you will explore beginning Bead Embroidery techniques including glueing cabochons, beading around cabochons, incorporating different types of beads, finishing and edging your piece. All materials are included in this class (skull, rose, bow tie, beads, suede, and tools). You may bring your own beads if you wish, but the class will be following the basic pattern shown in the photograph.

Class is Beginner Level. Class runs 5 hours long with a break for lunch and afternoon stretch.

Class size is limited to 10 people. A 50% deposit is due at time of registration, with the balance due day of class.

In this 8 hour workshop you will explore animal totem signs and healing stones to making a sweet amulet necklace or brooch that reflects your inner self. You need to bring your animal treasures, heirlooms, stones and beads. Heidi and the Bead Lounge will supply the tools and materials for the bracelet including ultra suede for the foundation and backing, necklace cord and findings, needles and thread, glues and much more. Bead Lounge offers a large selection of cabochons and beads for purchase and Heidi will bring a selection of beads and cabs for purchase as well.

Class requires some knowledge of bead embroidery. Class runs 8 hours long with a 1 hour break for lunch and afternoon stretch.

Using 2″ wide ribbon, learn how to make a wonderfully fun ribbon amulet purse in this Beggining/Intermediate bead stitching class.  You will need #12 beading needles (available at Bead Lounge) and you may bring your own beads and thread if you have them.  There is a $7 Materials Fee for students who need project supplies.  Class runs 2 1/2 - 3 hours long.
