Are you newly bead-dazzled or
just have a lot of treasures you want to recycle? Not sure what tools, stringing
materials or types of beading styles will best suit your creative style? This
class will cover the latest beading tools, terms, styles
and basic stringing tips and tricks.
Learn effective starting and finishing
techniques and get design tips to make creative pieces. The basic loop &
wrap wire-wrapping technique covered enables making earring dangles and
bracelet/necklace links. Students will make two of the following: bracelet,
necklace, pendant or earrings. Students can bring their own tools and beads but
basic tools, beads and copper wrapping wire are provided.

Beads and sterling silver wire are linked using wire wrap techniques to
form delicate links of your own choosing. Wire wrapped bead links can
be used in many ways with jewelry that go far beyond simple charms; and this
class provides the practical skills needed to create stylish chains for
necklaces, anklets, bracelets--or whatever you desire!
Use pre-made chains to join each beaded section into a piece of wearable
art.
Don't be limited to what is sold in jewelry stores--create your own
elegantly simple design with chained beads in your own style and colors.
Make them into sections or do the entire length in chained beads.

Fiber Arts Creative

Use fibers, trims, ribbons, cords and beads to create unique
and gorgeous braids that can be used to trim wearable art, designer pillows,
or to become fabulous jewelry--just add a pendant!
1-2 yards each of multiple kinds of trim will make about 24
inches of cord. Beads can be strung on thread or line and then used as one or
more strands that make up these beautiful cords.
